16th century Crossbow Prop
I based this model on several early 16th century original German sporting crossbows. Though the 3d model is fairly detailed the textures reflect a bow of less grandeur than the real life museum pieces which have elaborate carvings, etching and ivory inlay. I figured rustic and antiqued textures might be more useful in renderings. When I have a bit more time I will try to make some texture, bump and displacement maps of more elaborate decoration.
This free download contains a morphing crossbow smart prop, bolt (arrow) and fairly high rez texture, bump and UV maps for Daz|Studio, Carrara and Poser. Also included are prop poses to place the crossbow in the right hand of Micheal 3-4, Victoria 4, Hiro, Aiko or Apollo Maximus. See ReadMe for more information.
PP2 Format for Daz|Studio, Poser and Carrara
This prop was tested in Poser7, Daz|Studio 1.7 - 2.3 and Carrara6 but it should work fine in earlier versions. If you experience any problems with this 3d model please send me an email to let me know so I can fix it.
The files use external geometry in Wavefront object format so the model should be able to be loaded in most any 3d program though it will be lacking morphs. The morphs are self contained within the .pp2 file.

Feel Free to use these files for all renders private or commercial. No credit is needed for any renders. Please do not redistribute the geometry or files containing the geometry.
