Description

This package includes a camera mounted light, tripod, camera case and a hard drive video recorder for the Professional Video Camera figure available at Daz3d.com

The light and the recorder are smart props which should automatically move to and parent to the video camera if it is selected when the props are loaded. The case and tripod are articulated characters so they can be found in your runtime's "Figures" folder.

These items load with Poser materials applied by default but Daz Studio material settings can be found in the Poses section of the Poser mapped runtime (Daz Studio Versoin 2 or higher).

Note for Carrara users: Due to the differences in how Poser, Das Studio and Carrara perform certain rigging functions I had to make 2 different versions of the tripod. Carrara users should load the tripod from the "objects" tab rather than from the runtime. You may need to manually add this directory listing from within Carrara. This folder is located under ...\Carrara7pro\Presets\Objects\AgeOfArmour\ by default. You should also find multi-zone, global shaders under ..\Carrara7pro\Presets\Shaders\AgeOfArmour\VideoCamera. The shader directory may need to be manually added as well for the shaders to appear in your content browser.

There is a known issue with the tripod in Carrara 7 which causes the application to stutter slightly and show the message "Filling Grid" for a fraction of a secondwhen you zoom in close to the tripod. If this becomes an annoyance you can disable or remove the "Point At" function in the 3 crossmember and 3 brace bones of the tripod.

These, and the Video Camera, have been modeled to be used with Subdivision for close ups. If you apply Sub-D in Daz Studio 3 you should set the Viewport level to 1, The render level to 0 and select "Edges and Corners" from the Edge Interpolation drop down menu. Using different settings may make some portions of the geometry not show up in the render.
Installation instructions
Extract the zip folder to a Poser Mapped directory.

Carrara users might be best off extracting to your Carrara directory (the folder containing the Runtime) so that the shaders and the tripod are automatically placed in the Carrara presets directory. In testing I found that Carrara can get a little picky that the placement of the texture files but Daz assures me that as long as it is a Poser mapped Runtime that Carrara is aware of there should be no problem. If you find otherwise please let me know so I can try to find a solution :)

Legal
The included files are copyright William Hurt 2009 however you are welcome to use these in any renders, private or commercial. Please don't redistribute the 3d files (.obj, .cr2, .pp2, .pz2 etc.) themselves. You may modify and redistribute the included UV templates in any way you like.

These were tested in Poser 7, Das Studio 2 through 3 and Carrara 6.2 through Carrara 7 pro. The Carrara shaders should work fine in Carrara Standard, pro and 3d express versions 6.2 or higher but will not load properly in earlier versions, sorry. If you find any glitches in these items I would definitely like to know about them.

I hope you have as much fun using these as I had making them,

William
