14th century Arms

About 70% of the people who contact me have expressed that they would like armour for SCA, Adrian Empire or similar fighter group. One common request is for armour that is historically accurate in shape and function but at a mid-range price.

These arms are based on various antique pieces from the late 14th century but I omitted some details in order to speed the making and bring the price down. I tried to lower the cost a little by using commercially made hinges and a welded type of elbow. I was reluctant to sell them as I prefer the challenge of "raising" the elbows from one piece but after asking dozens of customers the response was pretty much unanimous... they were happy with welded elbows :) These have a bright satin "brushed" finish.

Note that these arms are intended to be laced to an arming doublet keeping with historical design. I didn't punch the holes in the leather tabs and straps so that you could place them where most comfortable.

These arms are a medium length with a bit larger diameter. Best fit would be for someone around 5'10" and 200lbs though there is a bit of latitude.
