This is an armet I have been working on as a side project for several years. It is of all 14 gauge mild steel construction except the hinges and the bottom lames of the wrapper which are from 18g. Its design was extrapolated from a number of late 15th century Italian armets but the strongest influence comes from one in the Kienbusch collection in the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
