1460 Italian style legs.
14-18g mild steel.Sized for someone 6' or taller and 190 to 220 lbs.
Unstrapped except for the upper arming tabs.
Straps and buckles extra.

I based these legs on an original cuisse from the Keinbusch Collection in the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I made a few changes from the original for aesthetic reasons and to improve function. I accentuated the more vertical fluting a bit to be more of German style as the fluting on the original appeared a bit too flat for my personal tastes.

The hinged side plate of the original did not have an articulating upper plate. I felt this additional plate was needed to keep a cleaner appearance when the upper lames were flexed forward and to avoid any potential of pinching at the hip. Also, I omitted the very subtle etching that was present along one rolled edge and one of the upper lames to help keep the cost down a bit.

The rolls on these are all square formed keeping with the design of the original.
